Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp, a Canadian actress and actor, is known for playing the lead in many television shows as well as for her impressive performances in films. Her fan base is large on American as well as Canadian TV. Emily began acting at 12 after visiting her older sister Katie in one of Katie's film productions. Once she discovered her passion in acting Emily decided to enroll in acting classes and started to audition. She began with some commercials however, she was eventually cast as a child actor in the Canadian TV horror series Are You Scared of Darkness? The show only featured her in only one scene and without dialog. She got her first big break at 15, when she got a role as a regular character on the WB program Glory Days. Even though the show was cancelled after only nine episodes, her performance was noticed by Dawson's Creek writer Greg Berlanti who cast her in his TV show Everwood. Emily is also a professional dancer also a photographer, and was listed as among the top 20 Teen's actors. The Maxim's Hot 100 2014 list ranked her as number 51.
