Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou, the oldest of four children, was born on 8 August 1976 in Beaumont Puy-de-Domme. Her parents who were dental surgeons along with a teacher, recognized and encouraged her passion for theatre and drama since her early years, which superseded an initial desire to become a primatologist due to her obsession with monkeys. The rise of her as a young actress quickly and was accompanied by her early successes. In 1998 after her studies, she was a participant in an French talent-scouting television program called Jeunes Premiers sponsored by Canal+ and won Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors before launching her acting career fully. Tautou is a pupil of in the Institut Catholique de Paris in Paris as a child and attended school there and has publicly disavowed her Catholic upbringing. In addition to acting, she pursued modelling and was the model for L'Oreal Mont Blanc as well as Chanel. The model also has an interest in photography and recently put on an exhibit of photography at the Arles Festival with the name Superficial. Through her photos, she focuses a lot on celebrities and fame. The camera's focus is at journalists who have been scrutinising the actress following her sudden triumph. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom as well as international recognition with her debut role in the role of The Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Pouulain. Amelie earned international acclai offices and was well-received in awards shows across all over the world. Amelie was the highest-rated French-language film in the US. The film's popularity led to Tautou's appearance in an array of film productions ranging from British films like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long dimanche de fiancailles, and then he moved into Hollywood through Ron Howard's direction of The Da Vinci Code, a Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
