Laura Linney has been hailed as one of the most acclaimed actors. Linney is renowned for her strong character who are equally vulnerable. She was raised by an unmarried single mother who worked as a nursing assistant. She became interested in the theatre during holidays with her famous father. She studied acting at Brown University, and later in Juilliard School. Starting her acting career on the Broadway shortly after her graduation, she debuted on film in just two years. She also appeared on TV within a year. Her appearances have been in a variety of film, TV and stage shows since. She received many accolades throughout her career including the four Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards. Yet, despite all the awards she has received acting has been her primary passion and she has continued to appear both on screen and on stage.
